dry penis

Post a new topicby thered on Thu Jan 17, 2008 5:12 am

Hi, recently i have was diagnosed with NSU, then i had a dull ache in my right testicle etc, i took antibiotics etc and stopped washing with any products, just clean water sometimes with salt added as initially i thought i had a fungal infection due to the antibiotics, the aching has stopped and the inflammation of the urethra has subsided and i have been giving the all clear at the GUM clinic.....my problem is that my penis glans still have slight redness, this is more apparent when erect and is often dry...i am washing with emulsifying ointment currently but i am still concerned as it is still dry.

when erect my penis is dark red in colour and i can clearly see the capillaries(?) which carry blood to the penis, how normal is this as before i the tip of my penis was less red, has anybody had a similar thing happen? i cant seem to find much information about having a dry penis without it being attached to infection.

just to clarify i am ruling out any std and thrush/balanitus

thanks for any response
