Dormant TB Scare

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Mar 05, 2002 10:28 pm

My husband is in the Military and is currently living in a barracks room with several roomates. One of these roomates claims that he has a dormant form of TB, but it's nothing to worry about. Could my husband still contact the bacteria and develop and active form of TB from his roomate?

I am not sure what they mean by dormant but I suspect it means that he had a positive skin test but doesn't have active TB. If this is the case, then your husband shouldn't be worried.
