Solitary Pulmonary Nodule

Post a new topicby Plumster on Thu Apr 10, 2008 12:04 am

Hi, new here and just wondering a little more about nodules. I had a terrible bronchial cough and asked for an xray. I was called back in the next day and was told I have a 1.3cm x 0.6cm (15mm x 7mm) on the left anterior between rib 1 and 2. TB was ruled out after test and so was bronchitis. Did a ct scan tonight. They stopped the CT scan early and I'm not really sure why. If they got what they needed and stopped it early. Is this nodule considered small or is it something they may possibly do a biopsy on. I did inhale cigaurettes occasionally at a bar with friends. I went to many bars where there was tonnes of second hand smoke back in my younger years. Not sure if that is the same as smoking, but I was around it a lot. Plus I'm a house cleaner and breathe in chemicals like chlorine (bleach) for about 7 years now. Not sure if these are considered risk factors. I also have just been diagnosed with severe asthma, but don't have asthma attacks. Wondering if the nodule could be causing all this pain in my lungs and not asthma?
