Post a new topicby ANGELHOPE on Sat Mar 08, 2008 1:58 am

Recently diagnosed with Adrenal Gland Tumors- ( 1yr ago). Right adrenal gland ectomy performed. Left adrenal gland with tumor still in place. now after er visit (1wk ago). solitary pulmonary nodule found in right lobe of lung. MD states that need to wait 6-9 months for further diagnostic testing, to determine if nodule is begnine or not. Should I wait.

Angelhope.... I am no oncologist but because your tumor is of an endocrine origin I think they could try a tracer nuclear scan to see if that nodule is related to the primary tumor site. The one used to help diagnose adrenal cancers is called MIBG. Ask your doctor if an MIBG scan might not show if that nodule is cancerous now instead of waiting to see how it evolves.
