no sure if sameSome time in June my wife was complaining of a sharp pain on her right side right below her shoulder blade She also felt a wheezing sound. She called her PCP, she was out so she saw another doctor in the same practice.
He told her it was the tissue in between the ribs “could be bruised or tender’, he gave some muscle relaxers. After a couple weeks and no change she made an appointment to see her PCP she saw her and after listening to her lungs she believed it was a walking nomonia, she order a chest x-ray, which came back clear. Concerned she referred my wife to a Pulmonolgist; he was not sure what it could be. He ordered blood work, lung volume tests etc… all come back okay so he ordered a ct scan which confirmed the abnormal tissue about the size of a marble, he consulted another doctor, who suggested monitoring the size of the abnormality, and ordered another ct scan after 1 month. A month later new ct scan came back the same, the Pulmonolgist sent her to see a surgeon. Who was not very clear as to what it is, he just said she should not have surgery. We were not happy with his answer and how made it seem like it was nothing. Not a concern but still no diagnosis! Mean while she's in pain and difficulty breathing... We asked her Pulmonolgist for a second opinion he referred her to another Pulmonolgist, the appointment is for this September 1st. Any one familiar with the symptoms and does it match Solitary Pulmonary Nodule? Thank you
Re: no sure if sameTell the doctor to request ct scan but w/dye. I ended up at emergency for pelvic congestion syndrome and the doctor ran blood tests & couldn't find anything so order a CT scan w/dye which they discovered 4-5 mm pulmonary nodule. I am seeing a Pulmonary specialist the end of the month to follow up w/pulmonary nodule. I was also experiencing a sharp pain below my right rib for the past year & kept going to the doctor but they never could find what was wrong with me even though they did an ultrasound & CT scan but they never did do the scan w/dye.
Hope this helps?
