3.5mm pleural-based nodular density

Post a new topicby deannag70 on Mon Dec 03, 2007 12:55 pm

Had a CT scan for other reasons and a "3.5 mm pleural-based nodular density in the left lung base" was found. There was no other description on the radiologists report. I'm 38 and have been a smoker for too many years and post-menopausal (surgical) for 5. I've had pre-cancerous colong polyps removed twice (2005 and 2007) so I'm beginning to feel like I just sprout growths everywhere. I know that in the base of the lung (due to research) that it is less likely that this will be malignant. Thoughts? The radiologist recommends retesting in 6 months.
