Please,take your sleep apnea serious.It could kill you.My 27 year old son was always a very loud snorer gained a lot of weight recently,and had trouble with falling asleep while driving to work.He was always tired and had trouble breathing.He had a appointment to go to a sleep apena study,but cancelled it. Sorry to hear of your loss. I have only just gone for my apena study and found that i do have it and sleep very little during the night and that I do stop breathing. They have just delivered today a breathing machine. I don't know if I can use it because I hate the mask. I had a real hard time during the test. I have fallen asleep once on the freeway and am afraid that if I don't get enought sleep something may happen. thanks for sharing your story. Did you son actually die of heart failure. I have read apnea can cause this.

My husband is 25yrs. old and has just had a sleep study. They sent him home without any results told him that he has high blood pressure and that he stopped breathing more than 100 times. The tech. was so frightened by this but, nothing was done. he has been hard to get up since we have been married and it has caused alot of trouble in our marriage. He has lost alot of good jobs and dropped out of school. When he was little he was put on ritlian and he quit taking it. His mother told me that he has always had high blood pressure but, nothing was done about it. His father said he had to put a water hose through his bed room window and turn it on to wake him. What a horeirl childhood! He was always told that he was lazy and dumb and that he would not amount to anything. I now better! He is so smart esp. in Math and Mechs. His reading and spelling is a bit rough(as is Mine). He wants to go back to college for something in Energeering but, before he starts anything I think he needs his heart,lungs,eyes and thyriod checked I'm worried that this sleep apena has already caused damaged that needs to be taken care of. His moods are horrible. We also need to get our 2yr. old daughter checked she is so hard to wake up and always tired then highper. I'm so sorry about you son, thankyou for sharing your story. I'm sorry that I wrote so much. Does anyone know anything about any of this and can we get help with a college grant? thank you so much!
