My mom has sarcoidosis is constantly coughing spitting up white chalk like acids. Where is coming from can she do to eliminate acid? She is constantly chewing on cough drops. Does help or is it worsening problem.

People with sarcoid usually have a dry cough but some can have a productive cough. I have never heard of white acid though. The cause of cough is irritation of the lungs by the granulomas. Some people can have extensive sinus disease that cuases coughing.
