Is the Marshall Protocol safe?

Post a new topicby DavidL on Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:57 pm

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis for over 1 year and inadvertently came across the Marshall Protocol, which looks to be against the general orthodoxy of sarcoidosis treatments. I'm sceptical of such treatments as i am wary of getting involved in quack medicine, but it appears to be at least consistent from a scientific perspective.

This looks like a site that is not only independent of such advice, but of sufficient medical integrity to provide a balanced, if not open-minded view of sarcoidosis treatment.

Ideally i would like to see hard facts in terms of numbers of supposed successful treatments, as well as consistent evidence to support their theory of cell wall-deficient bacterial infection.

Has anyone heard of this treatment? What are known side-effects of this treatment?

At this stage, all i'm prepared to do is get the blood test to confirm high vitamin D levels, as the only independent consideration i've seen is a post on a messageboard of non-medical background denigrating it - unsubstantiatied elsewhere on the net.

I would appreciate any advice or knowledge in this regard. I'm not satisfied to do nothing unless and until my sarcoidosis gets worse, or alternative gets my hopes up on an alternative remedy which could possibly make things worse.

Cheers,
David Luland.
