My name is Shirley, 52 Female living in New England. I was diagnose with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis 2/8/08. About four years ago, I started to get frequent sinus infections and sometimes my chest would feel very tight, I also have fainting episodes and had to go to the ER - at one time, mt potassium lever was 2.5. but they did lots of test and could not find anything.

I completely understand your pain, frustration and anxiety . I was dx as Sarcoid Stage 2 last May [ 08 ]. I have had sinusitis for about 5 yr, - much worse this past yr. Last winter I was in HH SC [ am 63 , retired nurse ] and tho I was walking every day by Mar. I was very fatigued and then eventually other serious respir. symps. appeared . I had chest X-ray , Ct and Bronchoscopy - with many biopsies and lavage . Dx then made . I am on inhaled steroids and bronchodilators and my well-being constantly fluctuates . It throws one off balance . I get various odd sympts. , easily exhausted and my chest never feels normal - just bettervs.worse days . I am impressed that you continue working and seem to be dealing with this " mystery illness " on a day-to-day basis , as I am. Like you , I am sick of the post nasal drip , the cough , yellow mucus - all the same things . Unfort. there is not " a lot " of relief - just some better days . I don't allow myself to focus too much on the poss. complications . I am trying hard to deal with it daily . Knowing that there are others in similiar situations is peversely , some comfort . You are not alone . And , I truly wish you didn't have to experience this . Good Luck
