Pleural Effusion

Hello, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 and recurrance in 2005. Recently, i have had fluid in the Pleural lining. I had it drained twice and with in 2 weeks, I feel its filled up again. Have you or anyone you know had the Pleurodesis procedure and did it work. Were you in the hospital for a few days? Would like to hear from someone in the same position.

Can you tell me why your having this? Are they putting in Talc powder? If so, My Thoracic surgeon stated that once you do this procedure, the lung will be permanently stuck to the pleural space. It maybe just what you need but, just know that it is a LAST resort procedure.
