Pleural Effusion Causes



Common causes of pleural effusion are cardiac failure, tuberculosis pulmonary embolism (blocked pulmonary artery), metastatic disease (cancer that has spread to the pleurae), lymphoma (cancer in lymphoid tissue), and trauma.
