possible lung cancer?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Feb 10, 2003 9:35 pm

Hi,

I'm 24 y/o ex smoker who smoked for 6 yrs and quit 8 months ago. I've had a cough and weeze in what seems to be my left lung for at least a year now. I had a chest X-Ray and, incidentaly, a CT scan of my head and both came back completely negative or normal. My T cell count was normal, as was my blood sugar, so was my thyroid blood work and my lymph nodes are not swollen. I've recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure as well. Yet this hacking cough and weeze in only what feels like my left lung won't seem to go away or get better at all even though I have not smoked for 8 months and I'm really worried. I also feel light headed and dizzy a lot of the time. Also I have had a dull pain under my rib cage on the left like someone mentioned in an email before mine which has lasted as long as the cough/weeze. I can't tell if it's my stomach but it's always there. Could this be lung cancer or something else serious? Do you think I should have a CT scan of my chest? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
