Lung Cancer

i was told yesterday my mum has lung cancer :(
and i have been reading up on it as much as i can.
there are a few things i dont understand and maybe
someone one ere will be able to help me.
my mum is sisty nine yrs old and currently cant walk
due to pain in her groin.she is waiting on results to
see if the cancer has spread i can only hope and pray
that is hasnt.ive read about sumthing regarding
different stages,how do you know what stage the patient
is at?also is there any chat rooms that you can chat to
others rather than using these forums?

I am sure they are checking with a bone scan to see if the pain is caused by spread to her bones. I wish you both well.
