spitting up blood

Post a new topicby tmun2 on Thu Sep 06, 2007 3:01 pm

Four days ago while wade fishing I stepped into a deep hole and went under water, frantically I began swimming towards the river bank. I started coughing up the river water and for the next couple of days I have been spitting up bright red blood, it has stopped now. I started taking antibiotics the next morning. Could I have rupture a blood vessel or what? Thanks, Tim

You could of ruptured a blood vessel or the water caused inflammation in your airways, good luck

Thanks, I went to the ER & had a chest X-ray & an EKG, they concluded I had chronic bronchitis.
