I am a nursing student assigned to a pt. a diagnosis of cough, hemoptysis failure to improve x 4 weeks. would be a good C PLAN to use pt. during my clinical day?

It really depends what the cough is due to. If it is due to an infection such as tuberculosis obviously isolation would be important. Making sure the hemoptysis is not severe which could compromise breathing is important and alerting someone to a change would be important. Other causes of hemoptysis include cancer, bronchitis, pulmonary embolism, infections to name a few.
