Balloon Tamponade for control of bronchial bleeding?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Feb 11, 2002 3:28 pm

I pulmonologist that I work with recently attend a course in Sarasota, FL.

He returned and had seen a balloon tamponade demonstrated for the controll of bronchial bleeding.

He cannot remember the manufacturer's name or any other information.

If anyone has information that could help me in this pursuit, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I am sorry but I don't know which device this is. There are many catheters and devices that can be used. Was there something special about this one?

Thank you for the reply.

I have gotten in contact with the director of the course and determined that the catheters in question are manufactured by Olympus and Cook.

Thank you.
