You are asking the wrong person. I have no idea on how to study MRI physics. I have tried many times to understand how it works to almost no avail.
Seriously, there are numerous textbooks on MRI physics many of which bend over backwards to explain this complicated modality to nonscientists. Go to Medsite.com, or amazon.com and browse.
Search for "MRI physics."
