EBCT test

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Sep 04, 2002 5:48 pm

I recently took the all the breathing tests and my technitian said I have moderate bronchial azma. My pulmonologist said I have bronchial azma with frequent pnemonias. I have a feeling I may have more than this because even with all the medication I take, vancerel inhalor, floradil aerolizer 2X a day. flonaise, singular, and zyrtec. I have shortness of breath with walking etc. and I get wheezy. So I am going to get a ebct. I understand that it can see mild emphisema unlike a chest x-ray.(which is all my insurance will pay for)

I assume by EBCT that you mean a high resolution CT scan. These can detect emphysema better than a chest xray.
