Hello,

COPD is not a single disease but describes a group of diseases that have a common character. They all obstruct airflow on exhalation. Now all of them can result in bad coughs and bad coughs are not always related to them. You say yours happens "at night". Does that mean anytime you lie down or only when you go to sleep? Have you had any problems with chronic heartburn at night?

If you have your pulmonary function values you can post them and I'll try to help you understand them. Make sure you include all the information about them. If they did any blood gas analysis include those results as well.
