Dear Mike,
I understand. I have had chronic cough for 26 years. I also have had the fundoplication and all the work ups. I found a study done by Dr. Lee and Dr. Woo from New York that studied patients with chronic cough. They believe there is a condition called vagal neuropathy or laryngeal sensory neuropathy. A drug called Gabapentin, an anti seizure drug, helped me about 80%. If you do a seach for those conditions, you can find information. I wanted to improve the last 20%, and with a google seach found that more and more doctors are recognizing the condition. I went to one, an ENT. I'm now on Ultram (tramadol) and am finally doing even better. Yesterday I had a day without any coughing fits. Good Luck. Judy
