Chest Pain

I'm 17 and not overweight. I've been experiencing chest pains for the past 6 or 7 months now and it's getting to the point that I am getting really worried.
It starts off like a short stabbing pain, and then manifests to sharp pains all across my chest whenever I breathe in. I haven't yet been to the doctor, but am seriously contemplating it (even though I hate doctors!!) and I was hoping that maybe someone on here would be able to help me?
