I contracted paricarditus 1980-1981. I am now having chest pain issues. When I lie down or lie on either side, I have serious chest pain. When I walk any distance or perform any physical duties, I again suffer severe chest pain. I can feel my heart beating against the pericardium. How serious is this? What treatments are available? Will it get worse?
