do i have asthma?Hi recently i keep developing a cough, this is usually if i have laughed a lot?? a couple of people who have heard me have asked if i have asthma its like once i have laughed this cough just attacks me. the last time happened last friday evening, i cant remember if it was jsut after laughing or when i left the house, within 5-10mins, so cant quite put my finger on it. I was coughing for a couple of hours and then alos some of the next day. do you have any advice?

Re: do i have asthma?I wouldn't immediately suspect it to be asthma... simple respiratory infections can cause coughing too, and they're especially common at this time of year. Considering it's a recent thing I'd recommend going to a doctor and letting them listen to your lungs. They should be able to ascertain if you have any kind of respiratory infection.
Re: do i have asthma?You probably do not have asthma. Coughing and laughing are not necessarily related. Have your thyroid gland checked first (in the neck). What exactly happens when you cough? Expectorating? What exactly triggers coughing? Maybe fog or mist? (that's the case with me).
However, coughing may have many reasons. Try crying instead of laughing (joke). Don't give up looking for clues. Yours.
